geese are beutiful majestic birds that can be very friendly when exposed to people.  They are the first ones with thier heads in the buckets during feeding time.

when we very first started with geese we had a gosling get snake bit.  The snake had a hold of his leg and made a cut all they way around it.  After a vet visit and 35$ he came in the house with us to recover.  The vet said to not get to hopefull.  The stress alone could be to much for him.  The first couple of days we had to help him eat, drink and bath.  But after a couple of days he started  to improve and every day after got better.  He became very friendly and would sit on a towel in the living room  and just hang out with us.  He became attached to us and our dogs.  It took about 2 months for him to be able to walk well again.  One day on one of his outside walks he ran over to the other geese and we knew it was time for him to re-enter the flock.
