The Power of The Littele Silkie   a very cute story that was sent to me

There was this little weiner dog who liked to chase birds.  One day he thought he would chase the chickens.  A little white silkie who was the dominant female puffed her self up, flapped her wings and chased that little dog all around the yard.  That little dog never chased any birds again. 

Thank you J. for this cute story.  The more I hear about silkies the more I like them.

We have a favorite duck named Donald (not very original).  He was in a little fight with a raccoon one night who had gotten in the duck pen.  During this fight he lost an eye but was able to keep the raccoon away from the rest of the birds.  After some recovery time he re-entered the flock and continued his position as lead duck.  He is a few years older now and his main job is to take care of the hatchlings.  He lets them play with him, sleep under him, groom him, and just about anything else they want.  Most of all he takes good care of them.
